If you’re a speaker, coach, mentor or consultant thought leader
who values your team's potential,
Catalyst growth lab is designed for you…
This if for you if:
Your business manager is capable and trusted, but they're holding BAU, projects, new ideas and strategy all at once, often on part-time hours.
Heavy delivery periods mean marketing and sales slide, and then it's a scramble to catch up.
You suspect things are going unsaid about workload, capacity or what you actually want, and you're not sure what to ask.
You want to invest in their professional development at the level they're actually working at: commercial, strategic and leadership.
Reviews, planning and the numbers keep getting pushed back to "when things settle". (Only 22% of the practices in my 2024 diagnostic reviews had a formal review process.)
“My thought leader has noticed a positive change in how I analyse and approach conversations. I’m now more focused on the big picture and understanding the ‘why’ behind our actions.”
You and your Business Manager want…
01
Business development skills. Keeping visibility, pipeline and nurture moving, even when you're thick in delivery.
02
Commercial capability. Reading the numbers, spotting where pricing or scope is leaking, and knowing which levers to pull.
03
Systems thinking. Designing how the practice runs, and knowing what gets a system, AI or a human.
04
Strategic and leadership capability. Shaping the plan with you, managing up, and having honest conversations about capacity and priorities.
05
Sustainable capacity. Knowing where their focus goes, protecting their own energy and motivation, and flagging when things are too much before it turns into burnout.
And for both of you: less mental load, more energy, and a partnership that grows over the long term, in a business designed around life by design.
“I already loved my job but now I am LOVING my job.”
Growth Lab is specifically for established businesses
WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE
Established and proven success. You're thick in delivery, the ideas don't stop, and you want someone thinking ahead of you.
Experienced Business Manager of 3+ years. They're capable and trusted, and ready to be coached on judgment, the relationship and the commercial side of the practice.
Fundamentals in place. Unique IP, a website that reflects your positioning, a CRM and/or project management tool in use.
Content to work with. An email list, some nurture sequences, and a back catalogue of content that isn't being leveraged as much as it could be.
NOT THE RIGHT FIT FOR;
Virtual assistants or Executive Assistants who are task or output focused
E-Commerce focused businesses
Those who are not familiar with working with experts, speakers and consultants
Practices still finding their feet, or business managers new to the role. The Catalyst Community is the place for that.
“I just have direction now. I was totally lost and didn’t know what my thought leader wanted or needed. It’s been amazing. ”
“Role ambiguity and workplace uncertainty lead to significant increases in emotional exhaustion and reduced job performance”
Why this is Critical for Sustainability
This is coaching, with me - Katee Gray, in a group small enough that I know the priorities and relationships within every business.
Each business has three parties in it: you, your business manager and the business itself. Projects sit where you and your business manager overlap, strategy where you and the business overlap, and process where your business manager and the business overlap.
Communication sits in the middle of all of it, and it's where things most often come unstuck. Your business manager doesn't say the workload is too much, because they don't want to look like they can't handle it. And you don't ask, because you don't know what you'd even be asking about.
“In an expert-led business, things move fast and in a lot of directions which means you need intentional support to adapt so you avoid running a reactive business that strips away life and business by design.”
The Focus of our Conversations
01
Sequencing a year of ideas & projects against a calendar already full of delivery
02
Managing up: flagging problems, briefing up, reading the timing, proactively managing capacity
03
Managing mistakes or friction an under-delivered project or a decision that got questioned
04
Pricing that feels incongruent, scope creep and over-delivery, and what that’s costing the practice
The most brilliant business managers struggle without a framework & support. The art of tasks and projects is a core piece that directs Catalyst outcomes.
05
Owning the business picture: what the numbers are saying, and what commercial levers to pull in response
06
What gets a system, automation, or AI prompt and what needs a human
07
Keeping business development alive while in heavy delivery periods
08
The relationship itself: needs, preferences, boundaries, and ways of working to support longevity
How we begin
Every practice starts with diagnostic review of 8 core operational elements of your business, followed by an analysis and 2:1 onboarding mentoring session.
Before the first group session we understand the business priorities, we know where to start and we know the gaps.
This analysis also helps us understand where perspectives differ on how the business is operating, which brings clarity in a productive way.
The remaining coaching and mentoring sessions are designed around this diagnostic and your unique needs.

Hey, I'm Katee.
(Yes, like 'Katie' but with two E's).
Facilitator & Business Advisor
I've spent over 10 years working inside expert-led practices. Today I'm a fractional COO and I recruit business managers into these roles.
I come to business from health science and performance coaching, so I look past the surface problem to see the patterns underneath it.
I help business owners and business managers get on the same page by facilitating the conversation between two different types of brains - the visionary with constant ideas who needs someone to run alongside them, and the detail-focused manager trying to be proactive but misses out on the bigger picture.
I understand what it's like when everyone's capacity is maxed out
"Katee's ability to look at what we saw as a big, confusing mess and turn it into a straight-forward workable solution was inspiring."
I help thought leaders and business managers get on the same page by facilitating the conversation between two different types of brains - the visionary with constant ideas who needs someone to run alongside them, and the detail-focused manager trying to be proactive but misses out on the bigger picture.
What people say makes me unique:
"Her knowledge and experience across such a huge range of products and services means you've got the most up to date and best practice information." - Rather than sending you to 3-4 different courses, Catalyst encompasses all the operational areas you need: marketing, positioning, operations, finance, automations, AI, communication strategies.
"Katee's ability to make complex processes into seamless and integrated systems is invaluable." - I don't just teach individual skills, I help you find the intersection of how your brains work and create the processes that get both your needs met.
"I just have direction now. I was totally lost and didn't know what my thought leader wanted or needed." - Business managers get the detail and support they need to stay proactive. Thought leaders get their energy back to focus on what only they can do.

Both are welcome. The Growth Lab is about how the two of you work together and how that shows up in the business, so it helps to hear from both of you.

You're not alone, here is what previous participants had to say about being invested in and gaining that ROI;
"I was concerned about the ROI. In what way/would the practice benefit from this that would be worth the investment? I couldn’t figure out how I could measure it (DATA), so it was scary.
Now? I absolutely know it was 100% the right decision.
I already loved my job but now i am LOVING my job. I have more confidence to try things, I know I’ve got a great team of support for when I have a question or just need a sanity check.
I love that I’ve put in place more integrations and automations to take out some of the time consuming/wasting parts of what I do and implementing Asana to also help not have any of those small (but important) jobs fall through the cracks. I love that we’re levelling up our client experience. I love that we’re more focused on maintaining better balance and protecting our energy.
(and the surprise bonus - I’m making friends that I wouldn’t have otherwise).
In summary, ❤️💙💚💜💛."
"I have always been in the fortunate position with my practice owner that they offer PD for me to do regularily but I do still feel uncomfortable accepting them as I’m concerned with the ROI. And then after the fact it has always been ‘why didn’t I do this sooner’. I will admit I was sceptical about this program around the ROI as I wasn’t sure if this program was for more established practices, but just today’s session has proved how fabulous it is. So much gold from Mikalya’s session today. And it has proven to me that we all have talents and skills in so many areas that unless the question is asked we don’t realise it. Just having this network to fall back on for the trickier questions is a ROI in itself. And some of the questions asked have made me think of our processes and how we can improve them. Gold. " -
The community is coworking and AMA’s only - no mentoring and intensive support.
You can check out the details of the community here, which includes a comparison table -
Each month there's one anchor session, either group coaching or mentoring. AMAs and coworking are there as drop-ins when they're useful. That's up to 3.5 hours of live sessions a month, plus the discussion space in between.

-
You're in the onboarding mentoring session in January. After that, you join the mentoring sessions where they need both of you, like strategy day support or a performance review. Your business manager drives the rest.
