The business clarity you're chasing

won't come from thinking more…

Workshops for Leading your business, by design

I’m sure you have many ideas, problems, solutions and conversations swirling around in your head. But making an aligned decision, holding a boundary, or communicating with your team and clients is where it gets trickier.

If you or your team are stuck working reactively, and can't get in front of it to a place where you can make business moves you trust, that's where equine facilitation comes in.

Often you can't think or strategise your way out of a reactive space. In the paddock, the horses help bring awareness to the beliefs, patterns and behaviours sitting behind the symptoms keeping you up at night.

When we integrate business and team development with equine facilitation, the the goal is a business that stops costing you personally, and is built for sustainability.

Leading by Design workshops are for founders (and their teams) of expert-led practices. Coaches, facilitators, speakers, trainers, mentors, consultants, and practitioners.

this is for you or your team when;

  • You’re in the detail, your head or weeds too often

  • You’re leaking time, money and energy unnecessarily

  • Work is impacting personal relationships, health and lifestyle goals

  • Boundaries are getting hard to hold, practically and in communication

  • The work and decisions feel reactive

  • There’s a sense of things feeling out of alignment

  • You want your team connected to the why, not just the task

  • You’re missing time in your zone of genius

  • You’re feeling uneasy, “off”, and on edge far too often

  • Experiencing creative blocks and self-doubt when developing new work, a book, or a big idea

how we come together

Leading by Design workshops, with Horses is leadership development, 1:1 or in groups - in the paddock, on the Mornington Peninsula.

Three workshop themes:

  • Self leadership. Your capacity, aligned decisions, and the boundaries that protect both.

  • Relational leadership. The communication and boundary-holding that stops your team running reactively.

  • Business leadership. Operational and financial decisions that your nervous system can hold, even under pressure.

There’s no horse riding involved, and you don't need any experience with horses.

Available as:

  • 1:1, or small teams up to 6.

  • A half-day workshop

  • 90-minute session folded into a retreat or strategy day you're already running

I’m Katee. (Yep, like “Katie” but with two E’s)

Having worked with expert-led businesses for over ten years, I've seen how strategy and practical solutions will only get you so far. My background spans health science, performance coaching, hormone health, operations strategy, business design and equine facilitated learning. On paper that looks like a lot of directions. In practice it's always been the same thread: our body, our business and our life are not separate from one another. A business and life by design takes all of that into account.

I've been a participant in equine facilitation and therapy for nine years. Before that I'd tried most approaches, from the deeply evidenced, CBT and ACT, through to the somatic and spiritual. Nothing came close to what happened for me in a paddock with the herd.

The breakthroughs, the clarity, the grounding, the boundaries. All of it changed the way I live and work. Honestly, it's hard to convey. It's something to experience.

I formalised that by training as an equine facilitator with Meg Kirby and Noel Haarburger at the Equine & Animal Assisted Psychotherapy Institute. Now I bring this work into business coaching and mentoring, to support business owners making moves they trust.

This is not therapy, and it doesn't require a saddle. You won't be asked to ride. You don't need prior experience with horses — I just ask for openness to what might unfold.

This is not a retreat or a wellness experience. The work is grounded in equine-assisted learning methodology, trauma-informed facilitation, and the same nervous system science that underpins somatic coaching and high-performance psychology.

What you'll find is an environment where your body responds differently than it does in your office or on a walk. And a structured process for making that useful.

If you're sceptical, bring that. The horses won't mind, and neither will I.
